One of the places I've visited in my recent travels over the last month has been Granada. My favourite city in Spain. The energy of the population - perhaps attributable to the high number of students - to the beauty of the buildings and the history resonating from the building blocks.
I stayed in the Albaycin area, the old Jewish quarter - a maze of tiny cobblestoned streets.

Albaycin - view from my little balcony
Granada
Gardens of the Alhumbra
Market fruit
Ubiquitous paella
Alhumbra grandeur
Friendly folk of all ages.
Pomegranates grow all over Granada - which means pomegranate!
Granada means pomegranate and this is evident as there are not only pomegranates growing abundantly on the streets, in the gardens...but also street posts are shaped like pomegranates and pomegranate carvings adorn many buildings.
Like most of Spain...music in all streets
